We are the American Restorers, we are working to restore this nation ad we will do it without aligning with the Democrat or Republican parties. The Democrat Party is now completely socialist and the Republican Party is so weak and poorly managed it is useless. Both are now serving their own funding streams and special interests, Both have contributed greatly to the disaster we now face today. The parties that got us in this mess will never get us out of it.
Democrats say we are on the right track. Republicans say it took decades to get here and will take decades to fix. That is simply how they explain their failures but we don’t have decades, we are falling apart now. We must do better or America will be lost on our watch.
I refuse to believe a country of 330 million citizens cannot do better. I refuse to believe our current leaders are our best and brightest. I know Americans, what is happening does not reflect who we are. We are seeing the damage brought by 2 old parties who no longer function in our best interests.
Our social media groups are loaded with some very intelligent political minds. Our businesses are run by some very sharp free-thinkers. Across this nation, in all levels of society many extremely sharp people are thinking, talking and not being heard beyond their small circles. We need to change this, we need to gather these people together ad we need to provide a framework for them to work together to save this nation before we lose it for all time. We cannot allow our generation to cause all future generations to suffer from our mistakes. We have the people who can do this, now we must bring them together.

Your Turn Congress- No Pensions or Benefits & REAL Term Limits!
It is time for the American people to act like Americans again and fix this Congress!
If Congress thinks we are going back to sleep once the election is behind us they are dead wrong.
We are tired of never-ending election cycles where we try to get new people who will actually represent us then finding that the same old career Congressmen still run things and nothing ever changes, except for the worse. We are tired of electing new people and seeing them pushed aside in Congress while the same old game players keep control of OUR government. Almost 90 new faces in 2010 changed nothing, the other 445 were still lousy. ( My apologies to the 2 or 3 good ones)
The U.S Congress is a mess. Now we want it fixed. Let’s start with their pay and exorbitant pensions & benefits. Then we DEMAND permanent Term Limits! History must show our generation got something right.
Congressmen start at $174,000 a year but they have an 8% approval rating. I guess that’s what happens when they get to vote for their own pay. Then they voted themselves fantastic pensions and a string of benefits that would make your head swim. That way, once they are in they become wealthy while learning how to absorb money from special interests and backroom deals while the nation crumbles. They use the power they gain and the support of equally greedy old parties to stay for long careers while we pay then suffer the consequences.
No Democrat or Republican voter can claim to care for the People or the nation if they approve of a Congress that is wasting their time and our money while catering to lobbyists, PAC’s and big donors.
Congress always ignores the things we care about. No one believes Congress is there for us. No one believes the will of voters carries more weight in Congress than the stacks of cash many groups weasel into them via shady favors. This is why the old parties always back their career Congressmen instead of encouraging them to leave after serving, all of them are addicted to the cash that flows in the backrooms of Congress and our political shadow rooms, nevermind the People.
Career Congressmen are highly trained experts at steering this cash to themselves and their parties then doing favors for those who sent it.
This is a textbook definition of a government for sale.
No wonder America is such a mess right now.
Think about it; just a few decades ago, we had it all. America made a profit, not trillion dollar deficits. We could afford our food and fuels while enjoying some recreation and entertainment while building a comfortable retirement savings. We had great jobs for those who would try for them, great pay and full benefits provided by the company. Now if you want the same you have to become a government official, somehow they have managed to keep all they have caused us to lose. The highest paid workers in America are now in Washington DC. The same holds true in most state governments. Not long ago America operated without deficits and we had no national debts left to our children. College kids could afford the loans because once they graduated, jobs awaited them. Single-earner families prospered, buying their own homes and cars while planning an even brighter future for their kids.
We had it all-what happened?
Congress became overstaffed with career Congressmen who serve themselves and become rich while ignoring us. That’s what happened. The party leaders stopped caring who was good and focused on who could win with the most cash behind them. We lost our representation at the highest levels of government to those who think our beloved nation is theirs to plunder. People blame one President or another (and most are guilty) but our system is set up so a real Congress can and should balance the President and force him to act in the best interests of our nation. Changing a President does not solve the big problem, only one part of it. No one is doing anything about reforms for Congress and that is where most of the dirty money and corrupt people are.
Congress is supposed to be a balancing power, not a partner in crime.
We have GOT to do away with the concept of career Congressmen. We have GOT to demand an end to the pensions and benefits that reward these people for staying when we all know the longer they are there, the more corrupt and useless they become.
Congress granted themselves pensions and benefits so Congress could become a career and having career Congressmen has led to cronyism, corruption and backroom shenanigans that have almost destroyed the great success of our nation and our own families.
This has got to stop!
The people who got us in this mess will never get us out of it. A Congress run by career Congressmen will never put our our best interests ahead of lobbyists and their own personal funding streams. These people spend too much time campaigning and bargaining for favors while serving us comes last. They have to go. Take away the perks, pensions and benefits so they can’t afford to stay for an entire career. Why reward them for staying when we want them to leave? End this abuse of our money then demand real Term Limits once and for all. Term Limits may take some time but the pensions and benefits can be gone quickly. That will force many of them out.
When they already pay themselves $174,00 a year (or $3346 a week) for doing such a lousy job why should any of them get pensions? Why do they get any perks or benefits at all? They can afford their own needs much easier than those of us who are forced to fund theirs. Serve then GET OUT! The truth is, most of these people are not qualified to do anything else. That’s their problem, they certainly aren’t helping us. We owe them nothing, especially not wealth and cushy retirement plans. They have blown every opportunity our patience has provided them but what kind of citizens reward poor leadership with undeserved wealth and comforts? Not us, not anymore. It stops now.
If you understand the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution then you know we have
the Right and duty to make demands of our officials.
We are making this demand: END ALL PENSIONS AND BENEFITS FOR CONGRESS NOW! Do this as the first step toward ending the reign of career Congressmen. Follow this up with permanent Term Limits. Congress-show us you are listening and don’t try to fool us, we will settle for nothing less.
Those who say all a decent citizen can do is vote every couple of years are ignoring our Rights.
Voting isn’t the only action our Constitution allows us, we are limited only by our creativity and determination. We can do so much more but they won’t listen unless we insist on being heard, this is where we’ve failed ourselves in the past, therefore we are switching tactics so they must learn to pay attention. We do nothing and history will record us as the Generation of Shame. That is not us. We are now making sure we will be heard because we have several national groups who will work with us in this effort. We have some outstanding media voices in major markets who will work with us. We have a large number of active social media groups who will work with us and we encourage everyone to contact us, one of our associated groups or start your own. We have just what we need, a majority of the American People.
Failure is not an American trait. We will do this.
We have many ways we can get this done peacefully and we know people will come up with many more. Follow them at our website along with updates and info. With your help………
We are going to contact Congressmen and invite them to do this or explain why not. Every one of them must receive a copy of this. Email it to them, hand it to them or their assistants when they are at home in public. Tell them you support this action for reforms. Be decent but remain firm, they are our employees after all.- We have every right to know how each of these public employees will proceed.
We will publish a list of who supports us and who attempts to avoid us or wants to resist the will of the American People.- They will not win by trying to ignore us, they will be publicly exposed by us.
We will challenge all Congressmen who disagree and we will work against them and any party that refuses to help us right this wrong. – This is OUR nation.
We will watch their schedules and meet them when they make appearances in home districts so they can no longer dodge reforms.- It is our duty to right the wrongs we allowed.
We will work to get copies of this to every radio and TV station in America-many copies. Over and over again.
We will do the same with every county and state office and national headquarters for the 2 old major political parties. They must also receive this notice, many times. All of them need to know we will be working to cut their funding and grassroot support for any party or official who will not help us fix our own Congress. The parties need the attitude adjustment just as badly as the officials do. They are in on this and have helped create the problem.
We will tell congressmen what we want and record their replies. Those who refuse to release OUR Congress from the stranglehold of career powers will see us working to cut their campaign funds and volunteer efforts. – We will work feverishly to dismantle their support networks and funding sources at home.
We will begin today by sharing this with all who will listen. There is a small poster at our website, please print it and hand it out, post on any bulletin board, any public place you can think of. People need to know what we’re doing, they will help!
This is just a beginning, if we have you with us. We cannot do this ourselves, we need support, financial assistance and help getting the word out. This is more than any other organization is trying to do for America. This isn’t just more talk or complaining, it is real action, our chance to do the right thing at the right time for all of us, please be part of it.
The idea that American citizens are free to steer our leadership is basic, we just need to start doing it. They expect us to drift away after the elections but those days are over, that’s not us anymore.

Ending the pensions and benefits, demanding Term Limits is just the beginning to taking back control of our Congress. We will show the world and especially Washington D.C. what American citizens are capable of doing when we can not and do not rely upon the political parties to lead us. The parties are a huge part of the problem, we will probably have to do this without them. That is fine; the American people are mentioned many times in our Constitution, political parties are not mentioned at all. If we need a new party, the groundwork is already in place. We must do this ourselves just to remind everyone that it is still us, the American People who run this nation, not the parties and not entrenched career politicians.
They work for us. We run this country and if Congress doesn’t approve of our new work policies they are free to resign their positions, just like us in our own jobs.
If you are part of the 92% disapproval rating for Congress-help us. Share this, spread the word and do as much as you can. It’s about time we got together on the same page and fix the real problems that brought us this mess that never should have happened in the first place. For what they have done to our wonderful country, there is a price to be paid. This is something we must do for those whose futures depend upon what we do today. We must do this to restore our America for the People.
It is time for the American people to act like Americans again and fix this Congress!
